Teeth, we all have them, in one way or another.
There’s lots to learn in this book. Each tooth has a crown, a neck, a root, is covered in enamel, has soft tissue inside called pulp and is made up of dentine too. Teeth attach to our jaw and are connected to us by our gums. Teeth affect the way we speak, give a shape to our face, help us break down food so we can digest it.
But there’s much more we need to know. Where do teeth come from and why do they hurt? We follow a timeline of our teeth as they grow from baby to permanent teeth, and even discover there can be a third set of teeth like dentures! There’s information on why we need to take care of our teeth and how we can do that ,from different types of toothbrushes to how often to change them for a new one. Importantly we learn the right way to clean our teeth too!
This book is tough like our teeth with its pages made of board rather than soft paper. It’s very brightly illustrated with primary colours and the illustrations are just fun and a little crazy. It’s a great way to understand about these little objects that inhabit our mouth.
