Ali Lowe, author of The Trivia Night and The Running Club is back with another fabulous and atmospheric thriller that had me hooked from the first page.
Parents living in the coastal and wealthy town of Pacific Pines hope their sons will attend the prestigious St Ignatius Boys School. When the Annual Gala Day is held to determine their acceptance, the sons must fight it out for their spot by facing meticulous and arduous challenges while the parents pull out all the necessary stops to ensure their admittance no matter the outcome. Eatella, Kaya and Bec are mothers who will do anything to get their children to that school and, when a boy is struck in a hit-and-run these three women’s seemingly perfect lives will entwine in ways they never imagined.
Ali Lowe is one of my favourite Australian authors and with The School Run she has created another compelling storyline. If you have enjoyed her previous books, I highly recommend reading this. You won’t be disappointed.
The thrilling and exciting plot is full of richly detailed characters and a very engrossing story with twists and turns that kept me guessing.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Ali Lowe grew up in the UK, and studied ancient history at university, before completing a postgraduate degree in journalism and heading for the bright lights of London.
She spent seven years at OK! magazine, where I did a lot of fun stuff like following David Beckham around Elton John’s garden in a designer dress and flying on a private jet to the Isle of Man with Simon Cowell.
In 2006, she went to Sydney for a year (well, that’s what she told my mum), and ended up staying. After having three Aussie babies, she set her sights on writing a book, and that novel became The Trivia Night.
