With its Victorian style settings and characters, The Clockill and the Thief, is an award winning novel with plot-twists and adventure a-plenty. This book is a sequel to the best-selling novel, The Traitor and the Thief, and it is essential to read the first as to make sense of the next.

The novel follows Sin, a street thief with no known identity of his own, now a valuable member of the Covert Operations Group (COG). After recently defeating the traitor of COG, Sin has been poisoned and is dying slowly. However, his worries about staying alive are overpowered by the dying thirst for revenge against the traitor who poisoned him. He, along with his friends Zonda Chubb and Velvet Von Darque, take to the skies as to complete the mission of recapturing this man bringing COG back to safety, but will he be able to undertake this task and keep himself alive?

The Clockill and the Thief is full of adventures and mysteries that will have your brain buzzing. It has an eerie and compelling atmosphere throughout that makes you hang on to every word.

The characters have great interactions with each other, complete with friendships, rivalries and love interests, giving the impression of a slightly modern twist to a historical setting. Overall, I highly recommend both The Traitor and the Thief and The Clockill and the Thief as they, together, create an amazing storyline which sets the reader back in time to the streets of London where trust and friendship is crucial to survive.
