Apple TV+ has revealed a first look at the highly anticipated second season of The Buccaneers starring Kristine Frøseth and Christina Hendricks which will premiere on Wednesday, 18 June.

Inspired by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Edith Wharton’s unfinished novel of the same name, the first season follows a group of young American women who explode onto the London social scene in search of eligible husbands.

The second season will feature eight episodes that will air weekly until 6 August, and will have even more romance, drama and adventure. In season two the Buccaneers have settled into England with some of the girls having found husbands of notable social standing: Nan is the Duchess of Tintagel and Conchita is Lady Brightlingsea. Over the course of the series we’ll see them wrestle with love, betrayals, births and deaths.

Fans will be happy to learn that the following cast members will be making a return to the show — Kristine Frøseth as Nan St. George, Alisha Boe as Conchita Closson, Aubri Ibrag as Lizzy Elmsworth, Josie Totah as Mabel Elmsworth and Imogen Waterhouse as Jinny St. George. Emmy Award nominee Christina Hendricks is Mrs. St. George, with Mia Threapleton as Honoria Marable. As well as Guy Remmers as Theo, Duke of Tintagel, Matthew Broome as Guy Thwarte, Josh Dylan as Lord Richard Marable and Barney Fishwick as Lord James Seadown.

Notably, the series will welcome newcomers Leighton Meester as Nell, Greg Wise as Reede Robinson, Jacob Ifan as Hector Robinson, Grace Ambrose as Paloma Ballardino and Maria Almeida as Cora Merrigan.

The complete first season of The Buccaneers is now streaming on Apple TV+.
