Not for the Faint of Heart is a high school fiction romcom based on the beloved and well-known story of Robin Hood and his Merry Men. The novel is packed full of love, sacrifice, vulnerability and tragedy.

Clem is a healer who is captured by the Merry Men and one of their fierce leaders, Mariel Hood. The story follows Clem as she is transported around the Greenwood and is taken into countless battles while making her way into the hearts of the infamous band of Merry Men. Through the adventure and tragedy, Clem must decide if she really wants to go back to her old life or not.

Although I found the book confusing in parts and, at times, hard to relate to, Overall it was still a good read that made me laugh at the banter between the characters.
