In this book you’ll find
Many kinds of things
Some have slippery scales
Some have feathered wings
But kind is more than type
Kind is how you care
For creatures that you meet
And places that we share
Each double-page spread in this book features a short verse reminding us to be kind to a particular animal. We meet a crab and learn through illustrations about different sorts of crabs with their funny stalk eyes. There are the various gentle giants of the ocean – those with horns, fins or feathers, or those that hop or have tails to swing by.
We meet so many different types of animals until we reach the last page. Here we are reminded that it’s important to be kind to people too. Let’s also not forget to be kind to yourself.
This is a warm and, dare I say, kind book. Its message is beautiful and important. Simply to care.
