This is one of my very favourite books in the ‘School for Good and Evil’ series, which has six books in its main series then more books that spin-off from the main story. The whole series is really good and if you like books that are in school settings, fantasy, and morally grey characters then you’ll probably really like ‘School for Good and Evil’ too.
Quests for Glory is the fourth book, and this class of students are in their fourth year at the School for Good and Evil. Agatha (who is a reader, not from the fairytale world) and Tedros, who is the son of King Arthur, want to get married. They’re also trying to restore Camelot to its former glory, but Tedros is struggling with Excalibur and growing into his role as king. Meanwhile Sophie, who used to be Agatha’s best friend from the human world, is now Dean of the School for Evil. All the students have to go on important quests before they can graduate, but someone is messing up their quests, endangering them. Reluctantly, Sophie and Agatha have to work together again to try to save the students.
While there is a Netflix movie of the first book, which is pretty good, I much prefer the book series, and this one is a really good story. I like the drama and tension in it, and that it has some good twists, while being a little bit darker than the previous books.
