The Easter Bunny, or E Buns, as he is known, is up early to bake the hot-cross buns and rake the lawn. He’s planning an epic get-together with games, a picnic and surprise hunt. There’s a giant egg to find! The invitations have been sent, with four friends to attend.
Cat slinked in with her mind on the Egg,
Chick was quick on his tiny bird legs,
Frog leaped towards the big day ahead.
Pig raced as fast as his trotters could tread.
A fun day was had with a three-legged race where Pig forgot he was a part of a pair. Chick slopped paint here and there. E Buns so wished for calm as they started the hunt. Of course, what happened? They all raced to the front! They all went this way and that with no Egg to be found. E Buns reminded them, it was hidden very well, so to find the Egg the friends needed to work as a team.
The Easter Bunny’s Grandest Egg Hunt is a delightful story. It’s simply fun and happy, celebrating the joy of friendship. And of course, maybe they’ll get to enjoy that delicious giant Egg, which was made with a touch of nutmeg!

I am an illustrator and more recently author based in Melbourne, working from a very messy studio out the back of our house. I have always drawn and over the last ten years been working full time as an illustrator, primarily in picture books. Sometimes I have other projects such as greeting card designs, working with awesome clients, or creating stuff for my own shop.
