Little Cloud has come out to play on a lovely sunny day, whooshing happily across the sky. The sky is a beautiful blue, dotted with a few distant clouds as Little Cloud drifts along, twirling and leaving delicate cloud trails behind.
But Little Cloud may have wandered too high, drifting into a storm. Lightning zaps, thunder claps and darkness falls as he is blown off course.
All alone, Little Cloud feels frightened and lost until as the sun rises on the horizon, the world brightens once more.
This gentle board book uses simple illustrations and just a few rhyming words on each page. The simplicity is its strength: every word is carefully chosen, making it effortless to read aloud. While Little Cloud briefly experiences being lost, it is handled in a very soft and reassuring way.
This is simply a lovely book to read aloud and the first book in the ‘Little Wonders’ series. Little Cloud is a comforting and soothing story and perfect for bedtime reading.
