Haven was a small, lonely, wild cat. When she was younger, Ma Millie helped to mother Haven and she became tame. However, one day Ma Millie became very sick. Haven decided to go to the city. Dangerous things happened along the way. She met a fox who she named True. When they first met, he wanted to eat Haven. But they became friends and they walked together to the city. There were more dangerous events coming.

I think this is a wonderful story – it was so fascinating that I could not stop reading. I think we should all be more like Haven because she was brave when she went out by herself. When she first met the fox, she was brave too. I also really enjoyed how the characters worked together and helped each other.

I think this is a good and funny book for 9–13-year-olds.
