This book is a personal journal of Rufus Rumble. He was a boy who loved space. His mum and dad both mysteriously vanished. He hates his life. He now lives with his great (farty & burpy) uncle, Gumbo. Rufus writes about a fantastic adventure into space.
Sadly, Rufus doesn’t have many friends. Everyone knows him as the strange boy whose mum disappeared.
I loved the book because it was funny and adventurous. But sometimes the book was slow, and I felt like I have been reading it for an eon!
A child who loves space and funny adventures would love this book. There is a second book is coming out in 2025. (This is a six-part series.)
