First published in 1994, this book has become a modern classic. The whole book is written in wonderfully hypnotic rhyme:

dinosaur roar, dinosaur squeak,
dinosaur fierce, dinosaur meek,

With the big bold illustrations practically jumping off each page and the poetic text based on opposites, encouraging discussion, it is no wonder it’s been a firm favourite with children for the past 25 years. My favourite pages are:

Dinosaur sweet, dinosaur grumpy,
Dinosaur spiky and dinosaur lumpy.

Who would have known there were grumpy and lumpy dinosaurs!

It would be such a pleasure to read this book to very young preschool children and to hear them wanting to chant along with you.
