In Australia we love to give bizarre slang names to things, and our currency is no different.

According to Macquarie Dictionary, a prawn is a five-dollar note, a blue swimmer is a ten-dollar note, a lobster is a fifty-dollar note, and a jolly green giant is the coveted 100-dollar note. Thanks to The Simpsons, our currency is also collectively known as dollarydoos.
