In news from Stan, the streamer has announced some exciting new adaptations from books in 2024.

In book to small screen news the streamer, Stan, has confirmed that the adaptation of Invisible Boys by Holden Sheppard is in production. Filming is taking place in Geraldton, Western Australia. The cast includes Joseph Zada, Aydan Calafiore, Zach Blampied, Joe Klocek, Pia Miranda and David Lyons.

Scrublands 2 is about to also go into production. The first in the series, Scrublands was adapted from Chris Hammer’s novel of the same name. This second in the series is adapted from Chris Hammer’s book, Silver. This is also being shot in Western Australia.

J P Pomare’s novel The Last Guests has been adapted for the small screen and will be released as a series called ‘Watching You’.

The documentary Revealed: Malka Leifer is underway. which tells the story of three sisters who were abused at the hands of their headmistress, Malka Leifer, and their quest for justice. Although not based on a book, this news coincides with the release of the powerful book, In Bad Faith by Dassi Erlich who was one of the students also singled out by Malka Leifer.
