Kate Bush’s songwriting has been inspired by literature. It all started with her debut single released in 1978, Wuthering Heights. The song was inspired by the book of the same name, which rocketed up the charts making her an overnight success.

She now plans to publish her first book of lyrics.

The book is called How to Be Invisible, which will be released late this year. Furthermore, it will feature selected lyrics from the pop star’s 40 year career.

Kate also has some literary friends in support. David Mitchell of Cloud Atlas fame has written the introduction to the book.
