Inky Awards announce 2019 shortlists

Jul 2019

The shortlsits for the 2019 Inky Awards, hosted by the State Library of Victoria, have been announced. The awards recognise the most noteworthy young adult publications locally and internationally, including fiction, poetry, anthologies and graphic novels.

The 10-book shortlist is split up into two caregories; the Gold inky recognises Australian fiction, and the SIlver inky recognises international fiction. The books were judged from a longlist of 20 by a panel of teen judges from across Australia.

Public voting for the winners of each award is now open, via Inside A Dog. The poll closes 5pm 18 August, and the winners are to be announced as part of the Melbourne Writers Festival Schools’ Program in September.
