Sales of Fear: Trump in the White House have skyrocketed in its first week. Bob Woodward’s new book follows the first year of the Trump administration. Donald Trump has dismissed Fear as ‘just another bad book’ but sales show otherwise, with the title selling more than 750,000 in America in just its first day.
Based on hundreds of hours of interviews, the book contains never-before-reported details. Including a number of damaging and potentially explosive revelations about the White House.
‘Bob Woodward’s Fear is selling with the force of a cultural phenomenon. In extraordinary numbers across the board, in hardcover, ebook, and audio editions,’ said Simon and Schuster president Jonathan Karp. ‘Based on immense pre-publication and ongoing interest, the reading public clearly has an enormous appetite for what we believe. As Woodward says, is ‘a pivot point in history’.’
On Monday, Trump took to Twitter in fury about the book which he calls: ‘Just another assault against me. In a barrage of assaults, using now disproven unnamed and anonymous sources. […] Dem[ocrat]s can’t stand losing. I’ll write the real book!’
