Bri Lee’s Eggshell Skull has been allocated funding from Screen Australia for story development for a feature film adaptation.
Actor Mia Wasikowska, as writer/director, will be adapting Lee’s memoir as a ‘a coming of rage’ drama. It will be produced by Justin Kurzel (True History of the Kelly Gang), Shaun Grant (Penguin Bloom) and Nicole O’Donohue (The Daughter).

EGGSHELL SKULL: A well-established legal doctrine that a defendant must ‘take their victim as they find them’. If a single punch kills someone because of their thin skull, that victim’s weakness cannot mitigate the seriousness of the crime.
