If you are yearning for a story with Paris as your backdrop, then grab this book. With three main storytellers whose lives intertwine due to a mutual love of flowers, this story includes magnificent gardens, flower markets, and even a dash of romance.

Emma has arrived in Paris and is grief-stricken over the loss of her mother to cancer, but is determined to spend time with her maternal grandmother. Emma is convinced her mother was about to finally explain the mystery of why she left Paris for Sydney and who her real father is, but she reached the hospital too late. Armed with a photo, Emma is determined to find some answers.

Garden designer Charlotte is a Parisian living in London. Her world has shifted off its axis – her usually loving husband has withdrawn and barely speaks to her. Charlotte has escaped to Paris to contemplate her next move.

Widowed Parisian florist Arielle is reeling after losing her husband and discovering his mountain of debts – her wealthy in-laws are convinced that her twins would be better off living with them, where they could provide far more than she can, running her flower stall. How will she survive?

All three stories are beautifully told and the characters are well drawn and likeable. The gorgeous gardens that exist behind high walls are characters in their own right, complementing the stories, adding colour and warmth. I loved this book – a delightful, satisfying read that I’m sure many readers will enjoy.
