Get ready for a giggle.
This is the third book in the ‘Knights and Bikes’ series, based on the video game, about the Penfurzy Rebel Bicycle Club. Demelza and her best friend, Nessa, are back with their pet goose sidekick, Captain Honky with another new mystery to solve.
A fair has come to town and with it we meet Jack, son of the fairground owner, whose name is also Jack. They all quickly become friends and the girls discover their help is needed. The fair only comes to the island every 10 years. That does seem strange. When the island starts shaking there’s more to investigate.
Without giving too much away there are snotgoblins, treasure, puzzled and we meet the Piskies and the Spriggan again. Of course, there’s the headless knight who manages to control his body despite his head not being anywhere near it! There’s even a toilet plunger that gets involved.
Wheels of Legend is pure reading fun, with great illustrations by Luke Newell that only add to the delight. If you haven’t tried this series

ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR
I have over twenty years experience as Illustrator, Concept Artist and Animator.
I spent over 10 years at Playstation’s London Studio as Concept Artist, working directly on seven shipped games (see below), but also developing dozens (and dozens) of other projects (mainly AR/VR), as part of the New Concepts team. Not least of these concepts was the release game for the original Sony VR device. My involvement in the Wonderbook (AR book peripheral) project saw my artwork integral to pitches for Disney/Pixar, and JK Rowling. Previous animation clients include MTV and Picasso Pictures.
