A gorgeous vineyard? Check … Mischievous lambs? Check … A country Victorian show? Check … A handsome English winemaker? Check …

April Lacey is determined to lead her family’s Limestone Coast winery into the future, but soon discovers the crumbling historic building and her father’s reluctance to join the food tourism revolution are just the beginning of her uphill battle. Meanwhile, English winemaker Connor Jamison has travelled to South Australia’s iconic wine region to learn from the experts and carve a name for himself in the industry.

United by food, music and an unexpected involvement in the Penwarra Country Show, April and Connor seem like the perfect match, but with old flames, new challenges and careers conspiring to keep them apart, can this pair forge their own path together?

I adore every part of this book, it is my first Maya Linnell novel and I can’t wait for the sequel to come out. Maya tackles rural issues easily and builds a story around them to show how we can work together to solve any problems. It features hopeless cooks competing in the local show, cooking lessons I wish I could attend, and a lovely taste of the South Australian way of life and scenery.

Kookaburra Cottage is the perfect book for you if you are a fan of sweet small-town romance and rural Australian stories. Enjoy!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Bestselling rural fiction author, Maya Linnell, gathers inspiration from her rural upbringing and the small communities she has always lived in and loved. Kookaburra Cottage is her fifth novel, following Paperbark Hill, Magpie’s Bend, Bottlebrush Creek and Wildflower Ridge. A former country journalist and radio host, Maya also blogs for Romance Writers Australia, loves baking up a storm, tending to her rambling garden and raising three bookworms.

She writes to a soundtrack of magpies, sheep and chickens on a small property in country Victoria, where she lives with her family, their menagerie of farm animals and the odd tiger snake or two. Follow her on Instagram or Facebook @maya.linnell.writes
