Kelly Rimmer, bestselling author of The Warsaw Orphan and The German is back with another historical fiction novel based on the real-life catalysts of two World War II agents. The story is told in due timelines, alternating between 1940s World War II and the 1970.

Special Operations Executive (SOE) agents Noah, Chloe and Fleur are in France during the war. Their work as agents is to amass data and information as well as aggregating destructive operations against their allies.

Fast forward to 25 years after the war and Noah is grieving the loss of his wife. He still struggles with his traumatic role as a SOE spy and, with the help of his daughter, Charlotte, is desperate to find the secret agent, who saved his life during that time.

The story follows Noah and his daughter, Charlotte, as they search for information. What is revealed is a tale of two women, Chloe and Fleur, and a double agent at work. It seems that there are more secrets and more information to be revealed about their time together during the war.

I felt a full range of emotions while immersed in The Paris Agent which is told from the perspectives of each character. Each has their own heartbreak, grief, sadness and loss.

Inspired by a real life story this a beautifully written novel, a powerful story of hope, family, friendship and love amid great struggles and bravery.
