Hani and Ishu’s Guide to Fake Dating follows two girls, Hani and Ishu, who are both bisexuals. When Hani comes out to her friends, they don’t believe her, so she lies and tells them she’s dating Ishita Dey (Ishu).

Ishu wants to be head girl to impress her parents because her sister decided to drop out of university to marry someone and, as a result, her parents have shut her sister out of the family. But to win head girl Ishu needs to be friends with the popular girls. So, Ishu and Hani decide to pretend to date to get what they want.

When Ishu is accused of cheating in her biology test by one of Hani’s friends, she denies it. But then a rumour goes around the school that she cheated and Hani doesn’t defend her. When the elections come around and because the rumour is so bad, Ishu considers dropping out of the election.

What follows could bring the girls closer.
