Did you know that worms, grasshoppers and ants existed way back when the dinosaurs roamed the Earth? And did you know that if young stick insects loses a leg from a bird attack that they can grow another one? And have you heard of Goliath birdcatcher, the largest spider in the world? Great name isn’t it.

Matt Robertson has not only given us so many quirky bug facts but also hilarious illustrations on every page. I didn’t know that worms were so interesting until I read about the African Giant, which is longer that a giraffe is taller.

Be aware that if you buy a copy of this book your littlies will be sprouting incredible fun facts over every dinner table. But then you can always come back and say, did you know that dragonflies breathe out of their bottoms, and, did you also know they fart to move underwater? I think that you’ll win this one.
