Uncle’s dog is clever.
He does what he’s told.
‘Dogs should be like
that,’ they said.
My dog’s not like that.
He does what he likes.
So what should dogs be like? Grandad says his dog is a good watchdog at night and that dogs should be like that. But this little girl’s dog sleeps on her bed all night. The dog down the road has a coat all smooth and shiny, and they say dogs should be like that. The girl’s dog always looks rumpled, even after he’s been brushed. But does that matter? He loves her and is her best friend.
Lovely big, doggy illustrations and just a few lines of text on each page make this a perfect book for the littlies – especially if they have a four-legged friend at home.
