Here's what our readers say about Good Reading.
I've been a subscriber to Good Reading since its very first issue and have never regretted it, happily re-subscribing every year since then. I love seeing it in my mailbox every month! Good-looking, intelligent, entertaining and informative, it's a real treasure.
As a reader, I've been introduced to lots of fantastic books and authors - I can honestly say that Good Reading reviews have sent me hotfoot to my local bookshop on many an occasion! And the sense of reading community in the magazine is very strong, creating a uniquely warm, accessible and engaging atmosphere. As a writer, I've found the team at Good Reading not only to be open to my ideas for articles and reviews, but also to be passionate and lucid about books and reading, without pretension or prejudice. It's a fantastic combination!
I am enjoying the online version. I find it really useful as I can read info about the authors and their books and immediately search online through online bookstores and my local library catalogue to reserve a copy.
It is a pleasure to support your magazine and promote it to our customers as it is such an invaluable resource, and assists me greatly when recommending books to my customers.

A friend told me about the Good Reading magazine eighteen months ago. I devour it from cover to cover reading as many of your recommended books as possible in the month.

I just love gr and have a long list each month of books which I order or reserve at my library, have also rediscovered teenagers' + books through GR. I'm well into my 60's and hadn't read teenager/young adult novels for years but have read several ones recommended in gr, and have found them really good discussion books as they deal with life's problems from a younger person's perspective, and this gives me a new way of looking at things too.
I’ve been reading Good Reading magazine since my bookselling days. It has always occupied a welcoming niche between newspaper reviews and the literary journals – a great way to learn about books for everyday book lovers.
Thanks to Good Reading, every new novel by Andrew McGahan, Christos Tsiolkas, Tobias Wolff, Neil Cross and dozens of others now sits on my ‘must read’ list. They’ve also let me indulge my secret love of westerns and action novels, and my not-so-secret love of the Kerouac and the Beats. If you’re looking for new book reading advice, it’s a great place to start.
